Year 2
I am excited about this year. I am looking forward to getting stuck into my work and hopefully produce some really good films. I am particulary looking forward to the documentary as this is what i was doing during my work experience at itv and it will be good to have the chance to make a documentary myself. I think the experience i got at itv will really help me with this project especially but also the other projects. Apart from that i am going to take everything as it comes!

One shot film "The Morning After"
Finally got some work up... this is my edit of our groups video. I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I changed the name to 'The Morning After' instead of 'Hangover' because i felt it didn't represented a hangover as much as we hoped.
The idea developed from my suggestion that everyone could help tidy up my trashed flat and we film it and play it back in fast motion. I only suggested it as a joke because my flat was in such a state but we realised the potential of experimenting with the speed of the film and the idea developed from there.
It took 2 takes as well as a short practice to try and get an idea of how long to film for and the speed Leona would have to walk so that when we played it back fast she would be normal speed. The first take we filmed for about 25 minutes but when we played it back it lasted for about 3 minutes. I worked out that we would have to film for 12 minutes to get the best result and keep it at around a minute long. Problem was my flat was now tidy and we were losing daylight so we had to delay take 2 for another day. This gave me a chance to trash the place again - not a problem!
There was a lot more planning on take 2 and the execution was better as everyone learnt from the mistakes of take 1. Panning the camera for example had to be done extremely slowly to keep it looking smooth in fast motion. Leona also improved her slow motion walk following take one and considering its such a difficult thing to do i think she did a good job, so well done! :)
